In this course you will learn the safe handling and fundamentals of manipulating a pistol. This course is separated into two portions. The classroom portion will cover, but not limited to: safety, stance, grip, weapon manipulation, gross vs. fine motor skills, mentality and attitude, economy of motion, wear and fit of equipment, sight alignment/sight picture, and the difference in traditional and reactive shooting. On the range you will train in greater detail the lessons learned in the classroom, this provides the opportunity for you to refine these skills. With hands on instruction, we ensure the ergonomic and efficient use of your pistol. This training promotes safe and successful employment of your pistol. Whether this is your first time or you have been shooting for years, Practical Applications Group believes anyone, and everyone, will be able to learn and have a meaningful and practical take away from this course.

This course is designed to take your proficiency with the handgun to the next level. Static shooting drills are used to refine shooting fundamentals. Then the class ramps up into dynamic shooting where moving and shooting become simultaneous skill sets. We will teach shooting from unconventional body positions that will stress the importance of the fundamentals of shooting. Cover and concealment are discussed and applied to your dynamic shooting. In addition to emergency reloads, tactical reloads are now introduced and utilized throughout the class as well as firearm malfunction clearing procedures. PAG dives into the sympathetic nervous system and how it effects shooter abilities. If you want to learn how to utilize your handgun in a dynamic world, this is the class for you.

The classroom portion will cover safety, stance, grip, weapon manipulation, mentality and attitude, economy of motion, loading/ unloading procedures, cycles of operation, wear and fit of equipment, sight alignment/sight picture, and marksmanship fundamentals. On the range you will train in greater detail the lessons learned in the classroom which will provide the opportunity for you to refine these skills. With hands on instruction, we ensure safe, successful, and efficient use of your rifle. Whether this is your first time behind a firearm or you have been shooting for years, Practical Applications Group believes anyone, and everyone will be able to learn and have a meaningful and practical take away from this course.

We will start off in the classroom and go over the different types of shotguns, the differences in choke tubes, ammunition considerations, how to fit a shotgun to your person, the bio-mechanical advantages you can use to manipulate the firearm as well as safety considerations. We will address loading and unloading, stance, mounting, weapon manipulation, gross vs. fine motor skills, mentality and attitude, economy of motion, wear and fit of equipment, sight alignment/sight picture, and the difference in traditional and reactive shooting. We then move things to the range where we will train in greater detail the lessons learned in the classroom. This provides the opportunity for you to refine these skills. With hands on instruction, we ensure the ergonomic and efficient use of your shotgun. This training promotes safe and successful employment of your shotgun.
